Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

We are committed to the well-being of our students, staff, and families to create a safe and healthy learning environment.

Meet the Counselor

My name is Stephanie Haren (Ms. Stephanie) and I am honored to be returning as the full time Counselor for Burton Valley Elementary. I was born in NYC, and grew up in Southern California. Since then I have lived in Oakland, Berkeley, Astoria, NY and San Francisco. Since 2015, I have happily called Lafayette my home, where I live with my kids, Mateo & Paloma, and our dog, Oso. I have a passion for wellness, mental health and education and am energized each day by the children of BVE!
