Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek is working hard to protect patients and communities. Many of their area facilities have limited supplies of personal protective equipment that they need in order to do their jobs safely while also keeping our communities safe. Local hospitals and medical centers currently have an acute need for personal protective equipment, which includes surgical and N95 masks, face shields, gloves, and safety gowns. There is also a growing need for thermometers. If you have ANYTHING to donate, please do! These can be donated at three locations:

  • 450 Maria Lane, 2nd floor (right near Whole Foods in Walnut Creek)
  • Walnut Creek Medical Center, Main Entrance (1425 S. Main Street)
  • Jonas Residence - leave on front door bench (3107 Sandalwood Ct)

Community Can’t Be Cancelled Our business partners and donors have always been there to support LPIE. Now its out turn to show how much we appreciate and value them as an important part of our school community. Make an effort to patronize at least one local business this week by picking up takeout from one of your favorite restaurants, and be on the lookout for more information coming soon on how you and your school can support Lafayette businesses. These LPIE partner restaurants are open for meals to go:
Thank you to the Acalanes leadership students for creating this unifying call of support and reminding us that Community Can’t Be Cancelled. Watch for more information how they are painting the town blue. Also, for more information on open businesses, check out the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce’s website for a complete list of open restaurants and other businesses, visit Save Lamorinda Retail During Shelter in Place! on Facebook, and look for our next issue of Sweet Offers. LPIE is here for your students, even in times of school closures. From Chromebooks to technology support, counseling and wellness, and science, music, art, electives, sections and more, LPIE continues to provide funding to support your child’s daily curriculum and distance learning. Look for more information about LPIE’s continued efforts in enews, emails, and daily learning. Stay safe and healthy!
